Posted: September 26, 2026

(LeRoy, Minn.) — The LeRoy Lions Club is asking area residents to clean out their closets and put their gently used shoes to good use during its October shoe drive.

The club will collect clean, gently used shoes from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Donations will benefit Soles4Souls, an organization that works to keep shoes out of landfills while helping create opportunities for people in need.

Residents are asked to fasten or tie pairs of shoes together before donating them.

Collection sites will be available at:

  • First State Bank
  • First National Bank
  • Bethany Bible Church
  • Creating Wellness Chiropractic
  • First Presbyterian Church
  • LeRoy Lutheran Church
  • St. Patrick’s Church
  • L-O School
  • Le Roy City Hall

Those with questions can contact:

  • Bev Loven at 507-440-8007
  • Barb Payne at 507-273-2831

or any Le Roy Lions Club member.

The Le Roy Lions encourage residents to check their closets for shoes they no longer wear and give them a second life through the drive.
