Dementia Caregiver Support Group

Caring for a loved one with dementia can be overwhelming, emotional, and isolating — but you don’t have to face it alone. A new Dementia Caregiver Support Group is starting in LeRoy to offer support, education and a place to connect with others who understand the journey.
Hosted by Diane Whalen, administrator at Wildwood Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care, and Kari Mensink, director of clinical services, the group will meet every second and fourth Monday of the month in the upstairs community room at Wildwood Grove.

The group is open to all caregivers — spouses, adult children, friends, or anyone caring for someone with dementia, whether at home or in a facility. You do not need to be connected to Wildwood Grove to attend.

Each session includes an educational topic and time to share experiences, ask questions, and find encouragement from fellow caregivers. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
If you need someone to care for your loved one while you attend, Wildwood Grove staff may be able to help. Call Wildwood Grove at 507-202-1381 for more information.
