The LeRoy-Ostrander Public School District offers K-12 instruction and boasts small class sizes. LeRoy features two city parks:

  • Baumbach (North Park) features tennis, pickleball and basketball courts courts, as well as ball diamond, picnic shelter, playground and restroom facility.

Lake Louise State Park is a scenic oasis just 1.5 miles north of LeRoy. Immerse yourself in 1,100 acres of pristine wilderness, featuring a 25-acre lake ideal for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Hike, bike, or horseback ride along the park’s extensive trails, where you'll encounter breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife. A quaint campground featuring well-maintained shower and restroom facilities makes for an ideal get-away during the warm season. Lake Louise State Park is also a haven for butterfly and bird enthusiasts, boasting sightings of rare species.

The Shooting Star Bike Trail begins in LeRoy, travels through Lake Louise State Park and along Minnesota Highway 56. The 30-mile paved trail takes you through the communities of Taopi, Adams and Rose Creek and ends near the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center in Austin. Experience an abundance of native wildflowers and the remnant tall grass prairie of southeastern Minnesota, one of the world’s rarest and most endangered ecosystems.

The LeRoy Community Pool is an indoor facility offering everything from lap swimming to open swimming, water aerobics, as well as public and private swim lessons. You can also rent the pool at affordable rates for special occasions.
