History comes alive in LeRoy Sept. 13

(LeRoy, MN) — History will come alive in LeRoy this weekend. The LeRoy Area Historical Society is hosting the third annual Living History Day at the LeRoy Museum on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Here is a rundown of the day’s activities, which will take place at the museum site on the corner of South Mather and Atkins:

  • 9 a.m.: Museum buildings and displays open
  • 10 a.m.: Demonstrations and presentations begin
  • 11 a.m. Hay rides start
  • 10 a.m.-noon: Petting Zoo open
  • 11 a.m.: Lunch served

The LeRoy Area Historical Society is collecting free-will donations to match a $2,500 grant from Modern Woodmen Insurance Company. The group plans to use the funds to make museum buildings handicap accessible.
