(LeRoy, Minn.) — Get ready to jingle all the way! LeRoy has a full lineup of festive fun for the first weekend in December.
Jingle & Mingle — Friday, Dec. 5
The LeRoy Commercial Club will host its third annual Jingle & Mingle celebration on Friday, Dec. 5, from 5–8 p.m. in the city parking lot on Main Street between Evans Printing & Publishing and Trish’s Heavenly Designs.
The evening will include:

Tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. — with long-time LeRoy resident Don Olson flipping the switch

Hot chocolate, s’mores and sleigh rides

A visit from Santa and more festive fun
New this year:
Bethany Bible Church will host a Live Nativity and serve a free meal from 5–7 p.m. right across the street. Guests can walk through scenes featuring live animals and Biblical characters including Moses, the shepherds, Mary and Joseph with the baby Jesus, and the Wise Men. Roman guards will also be roaming the area, and fire pits will provide warm-up spots. Inside the church, visitors can enjoy a complimentary meal with chili, ham-and-potato soup, chicken soup, and cinnamon rolls.
Many local businesses will stay open late for holiday shopping and special sales.
Holiday Decorating Contest
Don’t forget to enter the Commercial Club’s Holiday Decorating Contest simply by decorating your home or business and letting the club know that you’re ready for judges to take a look. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 5, at 5 p.m. Send a message with your address and contact information to City Hall at citclerk@leroymn.com or call 507-324-5707. LeRoy Bucks will be awarded for first place ($75), second place ($50) and third place ($30) at the Dec. 10 Commercial Club meeting.
Christmas in LeRoy — Saturday, Dec. 6
Holiday festivities continue on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. at LeRoy-Ostrander Public Schools, featuring several community traditions.
Pancake Breakfast — 8:30-10:30 a.m. (School Commons)
The L-O Washington, D.C. Club will serve pancakes as part of its ongoing fundraiser for the next trip to Washington, D.C.
Cookie Walk — 9–11 a.m. (School Commons)
The LeRoy Area Ambulance will hold its popular Cookie Walk, the service’s largest annual fundraiser. Community members are encouraged to purchase cookies by the pound and, if able, donate cookies for the sale. Contact Barb Payne Sr. for details (507-273-2831).
Christmas Craft Show — 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (Small Gym)
The annual craft show will offer a shopper’s paradise with local and regional vendors showcasing homemade décor, baked goods, Tupperware, gifts and more.
Soup Luncheon — 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
The L-O Washington, D.C. Club will serve soups as part of its fundraiser for the next trip to Washington, D.C.
Looking Ahead: Breakfast with Santa
Please note: Breakfast with Santa will take place the following weekend — Saturday, Dec. 13, from 8-10 a.m. at LeRoy-Ostrander Schools.
