(LeRoy, Minn.) — LeRoy now has an official visual identity for its 150th anniversary. Just in time for next year’s sesquicentennial celebration, the LeRoy Commercial Club has selected two winning logo designs from its recent community contest to help promote and fundraise for the milestone.

“We had so many great entries, the LeRoy Commercial Club chose two winners, and we’ll use both in our commemorative items fundraiser,” the club said in a Facebook post.

The winning designs come from Sarah Mensink, whose logo highlights Minnesota with a heart marking LeRoy’s location, and Lea Schroetter, whose circular design features a stylized downtown scene.

The Commercial Club will use both logos to create several promotional items, including T-shirts, keychains, mugs and cutting boards, which will be available to purchase in time for the holidays. In addition, the club will sell puzzles featuring the new mural created by Kaci McKenzie as part of the new pocket park the Economic Development Authority is creating on Main Street.

Proceeds from these sales will support activities and events planned for LeRoy’s 150th anniversary celebration next July.
