Construction barriers on East Main Street.

After years of planning and delays, the $10-million Highway 56 reconstruction project in LeRoy is underway. Barriers and detour signs went up early on Monday, April 29. The initial construction phase will focus on the stretch from Everett Street to just past Ada Street on the east side of town.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has released new contact information for affected businesses and residents who have questions about access to their properties. You can call Trevor Minnich (507-272-3142) or Tim Heins (507-208-3840) throughout the project to share any concerns and receive guidance.

Learn more about the project on the Highway 56 Project website.
