LeRoy, MN — Families from near and far flocked to North Park in LeRoy Saturday for the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Lutheran Social Service (LSS). With sunny skies and excited children in tow, the event was a hopping success, drawing a large crowd of kids armed with bags and baskets, eager to scoop up as many eggs as they could.

LSS volunteers prepared a whopping 7,000 eggs for the event, each stuffed with candy. Among them were four special eggs that included tickets redeemable for Easter baskets. The lucky winners this year were Brantley Waugh, John Stansfield, Monica Tentzohua and Gage Wangen.

In addition to the grand prize baskets, several other children discovered tickets inside their eggs good for a free swim at the LeRoy Community Pool.

This year’s egg hunt was made possible through generous support from local partners, including First State Bank Minnesota, First National Bank – LeRoy, Ed’s Floral & Gifts, A Gift to Gab, the LeRoy Commercial Club, and the LeRoy-Ostrander Public Schools Leadership Academy.

LSS thanks all the families who attended and the volunteers and sponsors who helped create a memorable morning for families.
