A construction barrier on East County Road

 

A planned sewer replacement project on East County Road is underway. The road is closed from John Street to Frederick Street. The closure began on Thursday, March 28, and is expected to last at least one week.

Crews are working to replace a 645-foot section of the sewer which has large cracks and is partially collapsed. The sewer line has been deteriorating for many years, and a recent video inspection revealed the extend of the damage. The project also includes the replacement of several manholes.
