Water tower restoration project to affect nearby roads

Posted: August 30, 2025

(LeRoy, MN) — The City of LeRoy has contracted with Maguire Iron to restore the city’s water tower. The work will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 2 and last until mid-October.

The project will affect the following areas:

  • North Business Alley, including the parking area south of the water tower
  • Luella Street

While neither street will be fully blocked, work crews will block space in the areas shaded in red on the map below. Crews will clear Luella Street on Sundays for access to LeRoy Lutheran Church. Access to the recycling containers will be available at all times.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and only approach from and exit to the east as shown by the green arrows.

During the restoration, the water tower will be draped to allow workers to complete the project.
